Vaccination of residents of Abkhazia from COVID-19 with "Sputnik V" will begin on May 12, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health of the Republic Vakhtang Vardania said on the air of Sputnik Abkhazia radio.

The first batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the amount of 6.5 thousand doses arrived in Abkhazia on April 30.
