A POWERFUL EARTHQUAKE HAPPENED IN TURKEY THIS MORNING
Tremors after an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8, according to Turkish seismologists, were felt on Monday in many regions of Turkey, including Ankara.
As clarified by the State Department of Emergency Situations, the earthquake occurred in the Pazardzhik region in the province of Kahramanmarash at a depth of 7 km at 04:17 local time. Tremors were then felt in different regions for half an hour - Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Mersin, Trabzon, Sanliurfa.
House collapses were recorded in the provinces of Kahramanmarash, Malatya, Sanliurfa and Gaziantep.
According to the information received from the chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey, Murat Makharia, at the moment, a woman has died from among the representatives of the Abkhazian diaspora in Turkey.
