Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the most important body of the Republic, achieving international recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia, attracting international investment and new technologies, protecting the rights of citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia abroad.

30 years ago, in one of the most difficult periods for our Republic, at the height of the Georgian-Abkhaz war, on May 17, 1993, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia was established. In conditions of isolation, economic embargo and the constant threat of a new war from Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia carried out foreign policy activities, thanks to the selfless work of Abkhazian diplomats.

The State Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia for Repatriation wishes health and happiness to all veterans and current employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
