Before visiting his family, the head of state honored the memory of Walid Marshan by laying flowers at his grave. The Abkhazian delegation was met by the widow of General Zhanset Kazanba and his son Khalid Marshan. The son of Walid Marchand greeted the guests and noted that this is a historic day for their family.

Zhanset Kazanba thanked Aslan Bzhania for the visit. “As a sign of devotion for the fact that in Sukhum, on the land of our ancestors, a monument to Walid Marshan was erected, we are giving you this sword, it is very important for us. We want this sword to be in Sukhum, ”Zhanset Kazanba said.

At the end of the meeting, President Aslan Bzhania and Speaker of the Parliament Valeriy Kvarchia presented gifts to the family of General Walid Marshan.
