New restrictions due to COVID-19 will be introduced in Abkhazia from July 12

In Abkhazia, due to the increase in coronavirus infections in the country, the activities of cultural institutions will be limited from July 12. This is reported in the order of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Gudisa Agrba, which is published on the official website of the ministry.

"From July 12, suspend the activities of theaters, museums, libraries, cultural centers, houses of culture, concert and exhibition halls, ensembles, educational institutions," the document says.

Earlier, on July 5, the head of state, Aslan Bzhania, introduced restrictions in Abkhazia on holding wedding, solemn, festive, memorial and other mass events in restaurants.

Over the past day, 179 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 18 341 people, 256 patients have died.
