The purpose of the MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF FOREIGN ABKHAZIANS named after OMAR BEYGUAA - identification, study, preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage of foreign Abkhazians. The museum consists of 4 exhibition halls. In the 1st hall there are materials on the history of Abkhazia from the 14th to the 20th centuries, in the 2nd - materials dedicated to representatives of the foreign diaspora - prominent scientists, politicians, athletes, public figures, in the 3rd, separate hall, in which there is a bust of Omar Beiguaa, his personal belongings, photographs, manuscripts, correspondence are kept. The 4th hall is dedicated to the history of our diaspora in the 20th and 21st centuries (or the hall of our time).

The museum also has a separate stand dedicated to the representatives of the Abkhaz diaspora of Turkey, Syria and Jordan, who died in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia. In addition, there are stands describing the activities of the Federation of Abkhaz Cultural Centers in Turkey and the Federation of Caucasian Cultural Centers.

The apartment in which the Museum of the History of Abkhazians is located was presented to Omar Beiguaa in 1992, on the eve of the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia. However, he did not manage to live a day in it. Among the exhibits of the museum there are early medieval maps depicting Abkhazia, coats of arms of Abkhazian princely families. Many exhibits were provided to the museum by the family of Omar Beiguaa, in particular this honorary order - "Akhdz-Apsha" of the 1st degree, as well as Omar Beiguaa's Circassian coat (akimzhgy), his personal letters, a typewriter, etc.
