The cultural and sports festival "Abaza" was organized by the International Association "Alashara" with the support of the Ministry of the KCR for Nationalities, Mass Communications and Press, the Government of the Republic, the mayor's office of the city of Cherkessk, the administration of the Abaza municipal district. As part of the festival, on July 23, the Day of Culture of the Abaza people was held in Cherkessk, and on July 24, the VII Games of the Abaza people took place in the village of Kubina.

After a two-year break caused by restrictions on holding mass events due to the coronavirus pandemic, the «Green Island» culture and recreation park of the republican center again received participants and guests of the big holiday.

During these two days we have become a little better, more beautiful, brighter. We once again showed our unity. And in this state, we need to continue our movement forward, towards our bright future. As part of the working visit, the Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Abkhazia for Repatriation took part in the tenth meeting of the Supreme Council and the Presidium of the World Abaza Congress, which was held on July 25 in Arkhyz. Before the trip to the venue of the meeting, members of the council, as well as athletes from Abkhazia who came to the Abaza sports and cultural festival, laid flowers at the monument to the volunteers of Karachay-Cherkessia who died for the freedom and independence of the Republic of Abkhazia in the years 1992-1993.
