Enver Bzagua became the bronze medalist of the 7th World Kickboxing Championship, which was held from May 12 to 15, 2022 in the Republic of Turkey, in the city of Istanbul.

On April 5, 1993, Zafer Argun died at the age of 25. He was one of those who went to defend their historical homeland as soon as they received the news of the beginning of the war.

march 15-16 are celebrated in Abkhazia as a mournful date. It was during these days that the Abkhaz army attempted to liberate the country's capital, Sukhum, from the occupation forces of the State Council of Georgia. Unfortunately, the successfully launched operation eventually ended in defeat and heavy losses - 222 dead, hundreds of wounded, 23 soldiers were missing, the bodies of many of them were found only after the war. The March offensive can still be regarded as a kind of milestone, chronologically dividing the 413 days and nights of the war almost in half.

Enver Bzagua will take part in the International Kickboxing Tournament, which will be held from May 12 to 15, 2022 in the Republic of Turkey, in the city of Istanbul. Enver is currently undergoing compulsory military service in Turkey, so he will play for the Turkish Armed Forces. After 4 months, at the end of compulsory military service, Enver plans to return to his homeland in Abkhazia.

On March 4, 1921, Soviet power was established in Abkhazia.

On March 4, 1949, its second president, Sergei Bagapsh, was born.

On March 4, 2010, its first president, Vladislav Ardzinba, died.

 

 

The book “History of Abkhazia” describes the events of that period: “In mid-February 1921, the Revolutionary Committee of Abkhazia was created consisting of E. Eshba, N. Lakoba, N. Akirtava. The second president of Abkhazia was born on March 4, 1949 in the city of Sukhum, Abkhaz ASSR. Under S. Bagapsh, the jurisdiction of the Abkhazian state was restored in the upper part of the Kodori Gorge, controlled by the Georgian authorities after the war. It was under Sergei Bagapsh that Russia officially recognized Abkhazia as a sovereign and independent state on August 26, 2008. Sergei Vasilyevich was a powerful personality, a professional in politics and government activities. Vladislav Ardzinba went down in history as the president who won the war, and Sergei Vasilievich as the president who secured the victory and made it internationally recognized. The second president of Abkhazia, Sergei Bagapsh, died at the age of 63, on May 29, 2011, a week after a lung operation performed on him in Moscow. S.V. Bagapsh was buried at the family cemetery in the village of Dzhgarda, Ochamchirа region.

 

Vladislav Grigoryevich Ardzinba was born on May 14, 1945 in the village of Eshera. In 1966 he graduated from the Faculty of History of the Sukhum State Pedagogical Institute named after M. A. M. Gorky. The scientist-historian headed the republic during the period of great changes associated with the collapse of the USSR. In February 1992, the Military Council of Georgia abolished the Constitution of the Georgian SSR of 1978 and put into effect the Constitution of Georgia of 1921, in which Abkhazia was not listed as a subject of state-legal relations. In this regard, on July 23, 1992, the Supreme Council of Abkhazia, headed by Vladislav Ardzinba, voted for the 1925 Constitution of the SSR of Abkhazia. On the same day, the Flag and Emblem of the Republic were adopted. Supreme Commander-in-Chief, under whose leadership Victory was won in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia in 1992-93. On March 4, 2010, in Moscow, at the age of 65, after a long and serious illness, Vladislav Grigoryevich Ardzinba, an outstanding statesman and politician, the founder of the modern Abkhazian state, a prominent orientalist, died. First President of the Republic of Abkhazia. Vladislav Grigoryevich, according to his will, was buried in his native village of Esher, Sukhumi region, on the territory of the Memorial complex in memory of the soldiers who died on the Gumista front.

 Vladislav Ardzinba and Sergey Bagapsh will forever remain in the memory of the people as leaders of the nation and true patriots.
