The State Committee for Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia announces an online competition for reading poetry in the Abkhaz language among representatives of the diaspora and repatriates. The competition is timed to coincide with the day of the Abkhaz language and will be held until 31 October. All age categories can take part in the competition. The first 3 places will be determined by voting by members of the commission and awarded with prizes, and the winner of the audience's sympathy prize will be the participant whose video gets the maximum number of likes on the Facebook page.

Day of creation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia

On October 11, 1992, Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba signed a decree on the establishment of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. This date is officially considered the Day of the creation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia - the birthday of the Abkhaz army. The decree on the creation of the Armed Forces of Abkhazia was signed in the midst of the Patriotic War. The armed forces of Abkhazia were created in combat conditions, in conditions of a real brutal war, the war for the independence of the republic.
A powerful and modern army is even today the main guarantee of the existence of an independent Abkhazian state. That is why the Abkhaz army is distinguished by its high combat capability — after all, the fate of the nation and the entire state depended and depends on it. The Armed forces of Abkhazia are subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of Abkhazia and consist of central administration bodies, land forces, air forces and naval forces. Today, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia have great opportunities to protect the integrity and security of the state, firmly and selflessly guard its national interests. STUDENTS FROM ABKHAZIA ARRIVED IN TURKEY

13 students from Abkhazia who entered higher educational institutions arrived in Turkey to study. Recall that thanks to the work of the State Committee for Repatriation in conjunction with the Federation of Cultural Centers of Turkey, on June 2, a qualifying round was held in the building of the State Committee, where 21 applications out of 29 successfully passed the examination stage and entered various universities in Turkey.
13 students are already in Turkey, where they will soon begin to start the educational process.
The students themselves are very happy. A warm welcome awaited them in Turkey.

Today an important holiday is celebrated in the republic, which has entered the modern world history of Abkhazia.
Last weekend, the leadership of the "Vatan" party arrived on a visit to the newly re-elected chairman of the Abkhaz cultural center in the city of Kocaeli Hasan Konja (Kardia).
The delegation included the deputy mayor of the "Vatan" party and the head of the strategic center (USMER) Utku Reikhan, mayor of Yalchin Arslan, deputy mayor Vedat Olgunturk, general secretary Sebahat Chichoglu.
The meeting discussed the "Joint Statement of the Committee on International, Interparliamentary Relations and Relations with Compatriots and the Turkish Vatan parties of December 17, 2019, signed in Sukhum within the framework of the project" Friendship and Peace Plan of the Vatan Party in the Black Sea and Mediterranean Regions. KADIR TVANBA AT THE X INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL FESTIVAL

On August 20-22, Ulyanovsk (Russia) will host the «Kontur» street art festival, which will become part of the X International Architectural Festival. Kadir Tvanba, our young compatriot from Turkey, participates in this festival as a street artist, which is the highlight of the event. 
Kadir has already started painting the walls of the nine-story building, which is scheduled to be completed on August 22, when the results of the competition will be announced.

The State Committee for Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia is launching a student admission program, a program for admitting students among our compatriots living abroad to study at the Abkhaz State University. The term of study depends on the chosen faculty and includes compulsory preparatory courses.
The State Committee for Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia pays for tuition and accommodation on the territory of the university, and will also pay a scholarship to successful students.

On the initiative of activists and deputies of the Gagra region, a round table was held with the participation of invited guests. On the agenda were issues of repatriation, demography and the Abkhaz language.
The event was opened by the chairman of the Assembly of the Gagra region Agrba Astan. MUSEUM OF ABKHAZ KINGDOM
